Is Air Tahiti Nui Joining Oneworld Alliance?

Is Air Tahiti Nui joining the oneworld alliance? While attending Alaska Airlines’ Investor Day in Seattle, I noticed something curious in one of the presentations: the airline’s tail appeared with a oneworld badge alongside several actual alliance members. Perhaps someone simply made a mistake and I’ve asked for clarification…but it caught my attention.

The right-hand panel, titled “Primed for international recovery,” included the tails of six airlines:

Five of those airlines are oneworld members. Air Tahiti Nui is not (at least, not according to the alliance’s published membership list).

A great solo travel tip spotted this week on Live and Let's Fly.
