What It’s Like Flying Air Greenland’s Rare A330-800neo In Premium Class

My first flight on Air Greenland and first journey on an Airbus A330-800neo in Premium Class was lovely, with the 4-hour journey from Nuuk to Copenhagen very pleasant. I’ll offer first impressions of my flight in this post and a full review later on.

Air Greenland used to have an A330-200 with a “real” business class section that featured 2-2-2 seating and very comfortable seats with deep recline. It also offered fur-covered menus onboard with a multi-course feast highlighting Greenlandic dishes. But apparently not many people paid for business class and when the carrier retired its A330-200 and purchased an A330-800neo, it opted for a premium economy style cabin with 2-3-2 seating and a scaled down meal service.

In any case, stepping onboard I found a clean cabin with fresh color tones. A flight attendant greeted me and while I could tell she was a little curious as to why I was taking so many pictures, she understood when I explained that I’ve been looking forward to flying Air Greenland for a decade.

A great solo travel tip spotted this week on Live and Let's Fly.
