The first reports made it sound as though a crazed Christian passenger on American Airlines had begun shouting about Jesus and hell before attacking those around him. A new firsthand account from the man seated beside him suggests the truth was almost exactly the opposite.
Initial reports said Lundeen had been “shouting about Jesus and hell,” along with directing racist and homophobic slurs at passengers and a flight attendant. That understandably created the impression that this was another deranged “Christian” attempting to proselytize a captive audience at 30,000 feet.
But Jonathan Cahn, the man seated next to Lundeen and the passenger he allegedly attacked, has now come forward. His account paints a very different picture.
