Gleneagles unveils its most glamorous residence yet

Set beneath the Ochil Hills, Gleneagles Hotel will be unveiling the Tower Suite at the end of September. Visible long before guests reach the front entrance, the hotel’s original tower was once home to the library and now marks a new chapter in its history. Reimagined as a lavish one-bedroom residence set over two levels, and home to Gleneagles’ only private rooftop terrace, offering sweeping views of the surrounding Scottish countryside, The Tower is an address like no other. Designed by award-winning AIME Studios, the suite draws on the hotel’s Art Deco origins and the romance of rail travel to create Gleneagles’ most characterful suite yet.

A staircase winds its way through two floors, connecting a private, timber-rich dining room, to a plush sitting room and atmospheric library, where a hidden set of stairs leads to the hotel’s only rooftop terrace. Reached through a secret door and revealing sweeping views across the rolling Ochil Hills, Gleneagles’ three legendary golf courses and the gateway to the Highlands beyond, the terrace makes the perfect spot for a morning cup of coffee or a summer drinks reception.

The Tower Suite is designed for a stay that feels like an occasion in itself. Every stay is shaped around the guest, with a single point of contact in place from reservation through to departure, providing support around the clock. The philosophy is simple – no request is too much. From a morning coffee delivered at exactly the right time to a hot-ticket dinner reservation secured off site, your host will ensure your stay is tailored entirely to the individual. Be it an action-packed itinerary packed full of pursuits like an early morning padel lesson, followed by a day on the river salmon fishing, or simply providing a space to unwind, they are on hand to tailor fit each stay.

A great solo travel tip spotted this week on Hotel Designs.
