I had an incredible experience flying a Boeing 737 MAX 9…simulator…at the United Airlines flight training center in Denver, something that has been on my bucket list for years.
The U.S. Air Force taught me how to fly single-engine airplanes more than 20 years ago and it has been along time since I’ve been able to sit behind the captain’s seat on an airplane. The flight simulators are remarkably realistic (as they must be) and used around the clock for training and re-certification of Untied pilots.
I spent about 45 minutes flying and the world was my oyster. First, we departed from Las Vegas (LAS) because Captain Larsen said that was the most realistic city with the most detail. Indeed, it was highly-detailed and it was very cool to fly over The Strip.
A great solo travel tip spotted this week on Live and Let's Fly.
