One of the biggest events in New York City each year — and one that has become synonymous with the end of the summer — is the U.S. Open. From the matches themselves to the buzz across the entire grounds, it's part world-class sporting event and part New York social experience at its finest, with plenty to do, see, and eat.
Based on my past experiences, it's fair to say that the U.S. Open is unquestionably a lot of fun, but it can also be hot and crowded, with long lines. Being able to duck into a quieter, air-conditioned lounge (thanks to your credit card) and grab a Honey Deuce and maybe even a chair can be the perfect addition to the afternoon out in Queens.
Thankfully, both Chase and American Express again have a presence at the U.S. Open this year, with each operating dedicated lounge spaces just for their cardholders.
A great solo travel tip spotted this week on The Points Guy Articles.
