In late 2025, Air France announced plans to open a lounge at London Heathrow Airport (LHR), which is positive news for SkyTeam travelers departing from one of the airport’s main terminals. There’s now an exciting update, as the lounge has opened as of today, so we also have more details about what to expect from this lounge.
Among lounges operated by European carriers, there’s no denying that Air France does among the best jobs. It’s cool to see that the lounge has a spa, along with dedicated areas for La Premiere customers and Flying Blue Ultimate members, as is standard in Air France operated lounges.
Previously, Air France sent its premium passengers to the Plaza Premium Lounge Heathrow Terminal 4, so this should be a very nice upgrade to the experience. Interestingly, there used to be the the two-level SkyTeam Lounge, but that was replaced by a Plaza Premium Lounge on one level, and the new Saudia Lounge on another level.

Bottom line
Air France has just opened a lounge at London Heathrow Airport. The lounge is around 750 square meters, with seating for around 150 guests. It has an impressive number of amenities, including a spa, a first class section, and even an area for top tier elite members. It’s nice to see Air France opening its own facility at the airport, and it should be good news for SkyTeam flyers in general.
