Lucrative Air France-KLM Flying Blue Paid Status Match Promotion

For quite some time, Air France-KLM Flying Blue has been offering paid status match promotions, on an on-again, off-again basis. The status match has always had residency requirements, though the countries that are targeted do change over time.

I want to provide an update, as Flying Blue has completely overhauled which countries are eligible. For example, the United States and Canada are finally being targeted (unlike in the past), but with some limits. So let’s take a look at the details (let me mention that I wrote about this last week, but that was a false start, and this is now “officially” live).

Even if you’re not eligible for the Platinum match, I’d note that taking advantage of a Flying Blue Gold status match gets you closer to Platinum status. The system of qualifying for status with Flying Blue works a bit differently than with other programs:

A great solo travel tip spotted this week on One Mile at a Time.
